How to Win a Nerf War

- Categories : Blog

It is important to start by saying you will need a lot of NERF bullets, the kinds that NERF blasters can actually take, as there are a few different options out there. So ensure you pick up some extra packs; this will keep the game going and it will allow everyone to enjoy the game and have a GREAT time.

Of course, you need to find people who love to play NERF games – and that should not be hard. You will likely find folks who love a good NERF war. However, not everyone has the right blasters. In this case, you may need to share your spare (if you have one) or maybe take note of it as an idea for a gift on their birthday or on Christmas. NERF enthusiasts will definitely appreciate it if you give them NERF blasters as gifts.

The next step is to find a good location. It is important to look for good covers or places where players can hide, duck, and cover. You can set up these covers using tents or other simple structures. You may also set up some additional obstacles to make the game more thrilling and challenging.

For covers and hideouts, you can use a pile of shipping boxes or some blankets and sheets which you can hang using a few poles. Just use your imagination – any material can serve as cover.

Where to Play Nerf War

Make sure your location can handle the number of people playing your NERF war. If the area is too small, you'll be running and bumping into each other. If you are planning a big game, then you may need a park so your players can spread out and give everyone ample space. Remember, the more hallways, obstacles, and barriers – the better!

A park that has a lot of trees and woods can be an exciting place for a NERF game as well. Just make sure that everyone knows the area and its boundaries. Don’t forget to get lots of bullets!

It is recommended that one player should at least have 2 blasters – one as the primary and the other as the backup. The primary gun should have the best bullets and firing power. The backup should be used when your primary gun is being loaded. It is not necessary that everyone has the same style of blasters, as people will have different preferences.

Choose Your Teammates in a NERF War

Choose Your Teams

Once you have the group assembled together, you will now need to split into teams. Try to make the teams as even as possible; this does not only mean by the number but by skill level as well. It is much more enjoyable to play if the teams are both equal in members and in the level of skill.

Also, pick a colour for the team. This will allow you to know who is on what team. Have each person wear that colour boldly, either with a shirt or through a hat. This has to be consistent. If everybody agrees to wear a shirt, then a shirt that is; if it is a hat, then everyone should wear a hat.

Inform every one of the rules and the location of each team’s bases. The base will serve as the host of the flag. Be sure to show each team the flag of their opponent, so they will know what they are supposed to look for.

The flag should not necessarily look like an actual flag. It can be a piece of clothing that has the same colour as the team’s. Both teams should construct the base for their flag; this can be a pole, stick, a branch of tree, or even a box.

Lastly, determine who will act as medics, captains, and sentries. Medics will be the ones to treat the “wounded,” the captains will lead the members of the team, and the sentries will be the ones to stay back and guard the team’s flag.
